The Adelaide Morris Men perform at a wide variety of functions - the fundamental requirements
to get us to dance are:

* pay us well,
* OR
* promise us a good time,
* OR
* both of the above.

We have danced for corporate functions such as promotions by Qantas and British Airways, fetes and fairs, Amnesty International fund-raisers, schools, wineries and, most importantly, for ourselves.
There are not that many good busking spots in Adelaide so that is restrictive but we manage to get out and pass the hat around as much as we can.
We have an accredited Fool - Mr John Stirling, a recruit from Cardiff and more recently Dublin City Morris Dancers. Actually, we had to supply him with one of our beautiful Australian beach babes to get him to stay, but we like to think it was the dancing that kept him here. John manages to give the crowd some alternative entertainment of good natured abuse if they look as though they are not enjoying the performance (heaven forbid).
We are also as very social side, looking for any excuse for an "away match" with another side or two or three, the other sides we dance with in South Australia being Glorishears, the Whyalla Morris and the Lancashire Witches. These usually consist of a weekend or long weekend away, shacked up in accommodation that is too small for half the people and dancing more than we should.

If you are around South Australia (and can do the dance) look us up.
We practice once a week, on Thursday nights. However on some nights we sacrifice this edifying process and proceed to the local Union Hotel in Waymouth Street, Adelaide for a quiet chat with Shirley, the owner. So if you are dropping in to Adelaide, call someone and find out where we are!

Booking and Contact Information

Morris dancers have danced at Royal Coronations and the most recent Royal weddings to bring them good luck and fertility.. Morris dancing is guaranteed to work 50% of the time! We love dancing - so think of a function or occasion where we would fit in (which is every type of function you could think of )and book us.

Contact

Because we are always thinking of our loyal public we make this part of the arrangement easy. There are a number of ways to book us. The Bagman is the starting point, we would love you to contact him .

The Process

Though it takes a number of days to contact the side and make the necessary arrangements, if you need a performance at short notice this can be arranged. Usually we can give an answer in about three hours; the time it takes to contact the team and have a social chat with everyone.

The Fee

The standard fee is $250.00 for two 30 minute performances which may be Cotswold or Border. If you want us to perform both styles of dancing the Cotswold is always the first performance followed by a 45 minute break before the Border. This is only to allow time for preparation for the performance.
If you are a charitable or non- profit organisation we realise that you do not always have the same resources as some of the larger organisations for whom we dance. For you - our "fee" is negotiable and is tailored to your budget or the type of tea you are offering.
And lastly, because we love dancing:

ALL OFFERS CONSIDERED!!!
